About the role
This is a high-profile opportunity to become the trusted Finance Business Partner to the Managing Director of Products and their leadership teams. You’ll provide clear commercial insight across SG&A budgets, including capitalised resource, and bring the financial story to life through management reporting, forecasting and outlooks. By identifying emerging opex trends, risks and opportunities early, you’ll help shape confident decisions across Products, Marketing and the wider Consumer Finance team. Working closely with the Finance Business Partner supporting the MarComms Managing Director, as well as the Finance colleague responsible for TLC and TLR reporting, you’ll ensure leaders receive joined-up insight and consistent financial guidance.
What you’ll be doing
- Produce and present monthly forecasts, including risks, opportunities, and impacts on monthly and quarterly outcomes by working closely with stakeholder teams.
- Interpret month-end financial performance versus target, with clear variance analysis and explanations.
- Oversight of Products labour costs (TLC/TLR) and the appropriate capitalisation of resource.
- Support procurement activity, including RFPs, re-tenders, savings validation, and Cat Board preparation.
- Lead Budget (MTP) planning for Products opex, helping embed efficiencies while supporting revenue and volume targets.
- Work with Finance colleagues to ensure consistent messaging on SG&A financial performance.
- Complete ad hoc commercial analysis and deep dives on strategic priorities.
- Ensure business activities comply with local legislative requirements and protect BT/EE.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Qualified accountant
- Strong stakeholder management and clear communication, demonstrating credibility with business partners and Finance colleagues.
- Strong financial experience, Excel, and PowerPoint skills and the ability to analyse data, identify root causes and turn it into clear recommendations. Strong attention to detail while retaining a broader commercial view.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Reasonable understanding of Consumer marketing objectives and products.
- Ability to use or willingness to learn systems for cost management (SAP etc)
