It’s an exciting and pivotal year at BT & EE with a fantastic roadmap of consumer centric innovations that you’ll be front and centre in communicating to the UK. You’ll work with some of the UK’s most talented and awarded agencies to bring best in class social creative work to market on a daily basis. As a Social Media Manager you will be responsible for the planning and execution of all organic and some paid social media campaigns, in an end to end process requiring management of multiple internal and external stakeholders. You will be constantly pushing boundaries and looking at innovations to keep us ahead creatively when it comes to changing social market trends.  

This is a real opportunity to make a difference and challenge how we do things to ensure we deliver growth and increased engagement on our social channels.  You will be a key voice of the EE brand on social and will be responsible for championing social campaigns across the business to ensure creative and strategic alignment. You will also work closely with the media team to ensure our social campaigns can drive uplifts across the communications funnel.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing and delivering the EE Brand social strategy
  • Overseeing the brand social content calendar by planning, co-ordinating, scheduling and executing activity across all of EE’s social channels.
  • Increasing audience reach and engagement across all social channels to meet brand and business objectives
  • Managing the brief to agencies and production partners to deliver the end to end process for all organic social content
  • Working collaboratively on a daily basis with PR, Customer Service and the EE forum community managers  to integrate and co-ordinate activity
  • Daily monitoring and writing of social content to react across the social communities
  • Managing key stakeholders across the business to act as the gatekeeper and ensure that all interactions on social are tonally on brand and meet content and best practice requirements
  • Working with internal and agency stakeholders to align, consult and support on the delivery of Brand ATL and sponsorship paid social campaigns
  • Being an expert in your field and staying constantly up to date on new social trends, changes to the platforms so can deliver best practice in social
  • Building close working relationships with all of the third party social platforms
  • Responding to social queries and providing guidance as necessary
  • Measuring, analysing, reporting and making recommendations on social activity on a weekly basis
  • Managing a social budget and working closely with media to maximise effectiveness
  • Using your initiative to come up with reactive social content that you can execute
  • Having the skills and experience to create quick social content using creative software
  • Overseeing junior members of the social team and managing their time


Skills and experience needed:

  • Experience driving and delivering a social strategy for a big brand
  • Significant experience managing brand social channels across all of the key social platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & YouTube)
  • Evidence of driving considerable growth and engagement for social on a consumer brand   
  • Experience managing end-to-end production process for producing social content
  • Excellent copy writing skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in photoshop and creative editing software to be able to produce quick and reactive social content
  • Experience of using social diagnostic tools to be able to analyse campaigns, report findings and follow up with optimisation
  • Substantial knowledge of current social trends and best practice across all social channels with a dedication to keep learning and evolving
  • Extensive experience delivering creative paid and organic social campaigns
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and respect to build strong working relations
  • A creative thinker who loves coming up with social led ideas and has experience to demonstrate this
  • Passion for working in a fast paced environment and the ability to multi task across high stake projects
  • Work collaboratively and managing multiple stakeholders across the business and external agencies
  • Open to flexible working hours so can react on social when needed
  • A keen interest in gaming or knowledge of this category in a social context



Experience you will be expected to have:


  • Highly experienced in developing and implementing disruptive and effective brand social campaigns for big brands
  • Highly experienced in working in complex blue chip companies within fast moving environments
