This role exists to provide specialist technical support on complex network security and cyber security deployments for any and all of our UK secure contracts. Building intermate working relationships and trust through effective communication and meeting expectation and deadlines is key. Liaising with customer representatives or vendors and directing other support staff where appropriate will form part of the role.

 

Additionally, the support of new products and services is an important part of keeping pace with the industry and customer requirements and allows BT to maintain market position as key supplier of services. The role holder will therefore be expected to provide support in this area, working with confidence and initiative and applying excellent self-management in order to promote successful outcomes.

 

 

This job role can be based in Sheffield, Belfast or Hatfield. Hybrid (3 days office based/client onsite & 2 days remote). Monday-Friday between 8am-6pm timeframe. SC clearance must be obtainable. Must have lived in UK for 5 years+ in order to attain this.

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Develop peers and colleagues within the team through mentoring and leadership providing trustworthy honest feedback
  • Produce and support polices, functions and configuration builds to allow implementation of customer projects.
  • Complete and own integration testing on new products and services, producing all relevant supporting documentation
  • Develop a strong technical knowledge of our products and services

What we'd like to see on your CV

 

  • Experience in Network Security Operations from a 3rd Line perspective (Security, Firewalls, Load balancers).
  • Ability to support their team with day-to-day operations, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • An intimate knowledge of Networks and Network Security Including Firewalls
  • A drive for leadership and a passion for improvement.
  • External Professional Certification in Security Related discipline e.g. Fortinet NSE 4 & 5, Cisco CCNP, Checkpoint CCSE or Palo Alto PCNSE; covering some of the following key technologies:
  1. Cisco ASA & Firepower
  2. Checkpoint 
  3. Fortinet 
  4. Palo Alto 
  5. Zscaler
  6. Cisco F5

Flexible Working
This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
